Patients in Albania use Saneo to search doctors by specialty and city, see open slots and book a visit in person or by video. Doctors and clinics use the same product for their shared calendar, patient charts, reminders and a public booking page.
Who uses it, and for what
- A patient in Tirana finds a cardiologist on the map and books tomorrow's 11:30 slot from their phone.
- A receptionist at a clinic sees every doctor's day side by side and confirms new online requests.
- A doctor reads a patient's past visits, notes and lab files before the appointment.
- A doctor who works alone shares a booking link or QR code, so patients book without calling.
How it’s built
- Open slots are computed from opening hours, services and existing visits, so a slot on screen is actually free.
- The workspace switches between solo and clinic mode based on team size.
- A role-based API sends new bookings to the calendar over server-sent events.
- iOS and Android apps for patients and doctors, built from the Vue codebase with Capacitor.
Stack
In numbers
- Patient portal and staff workspace in one codebase
- 137 Vue components, 26 API route modules, 39 database tables
- Two native apps from the same code: Saneo for patients, Saneo Pro for doctors
- 26 medical specialties, interface in English and Albanian
- Video consultations, waiting list, analytics and a CRM for medical tourism
